Fashion is doing a heightened emergence of 80's inspired clothing and shoes. So again during one of my shopaholic phases, I came across Brian Atwood's Margie peep toe rainbow embellished sandal and fell completely head over heels in love with them. Aren't they just the epitome of a wonderful summer night on the town dancing with the girls or an energetic date with a potential boyfriend? I can't believe SJP never wore these on Sex in the City. I mean I can just see her strutting around a fashion industry event with these babies on. On the site, the shoes are paired with a Diane Von Furstenberg royal blue tunic and a Marc Jacobs clutch and it is nothing less than perfection!!!!
I wonder if we'll see these beauties being sported by Hollywood's Best Dressed Celebs.
Until then,

Let's Welcome the Comeback Kids
Bobbi's Top 10
We all are familiar with the dynamic make up artist Bobbi Brown. Well she's published a book that is geared to assisting the fresh and new beginning artist as well as the pro artiste. Let's look at a sample of what Bobbi has to stay in her Top 10 Makeup Tips from the Makeup Manual:
• Make sure foundation is yellow-based. Everyone has yellow undertones in their skin. Pink-based foundations look like a mask on most people. Only 1 per cent need a pink tone: those who sunburn even in the shade. Foundation should not change the colour of the face but simply even out the tone.
• When applying foundation, apply thinly then let it settle for a few minutes to see the true effect. Then blend in more on the zones where it’s needed.
• To avoid powder build-up on oily skin, use an oil-blotting paper before touching up.
• If you have thin lips, choose light to medium lipcolour shades, as dark shades have a minimising effect.
• Soften too-harsh brow colour by pressing loose powder onto the brows with a powder puff.
• Dark circles look darker when liner is applied on the lower lash line. Bring concealer up to the lash line, and use only mascara on the lower lashes.
• You can curl lashes by pressing them up with your fingers as the mascara dries.
• When you remove make-up, dry the face with the softest natural-fibre towels you can find. Pat the face dry. Rubbing or hard wiping creates small abrasions on the skin’s surface, causing irritation, redness and even swelling.
• Fade overly dark self-tan colour by exfoliating the skin in the shower with a washcloth or loofah. Then, thoroughly clean the skin with cold cream or baby oil. Some self-tanners can be removed with lemon juice. Fix streaks by applying an additional light coat of self-tanner on the lightest parts of the skin.
• And for brides: use a moisturiser that will prepare the skin for make-up, but avoid sunblocks and sunscreens that can give a ‘flash off’ to make-up. They reflect too much light under flash photography, resulting in an over-exposed shot.
I hope these tips provided a little assistance or clarity for anyone beginning in makeup artistry.

Kanye takes his shoe game up
The self proclaimed Louis Vuitton Don, Kanye West has introduced his new men's sneaker line with the high fashion label. It first hit the press around the summer of 2008. Photos were released earlier this month and the shoes are said to range anywhere from $800 to $1000. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall for that meeting.
I'm wondering if Kanye understands what pressure this will put on the average folks who want to step their game up. Hell, I can only imagine to the lengths that most everyday people will go to, just to be the first to step fresh in them bad boys. Although, I don't foresee any low budget hustlas sporting them, but I'm almost 100 % positive that the Dope Boys have already placed their orders for them.
Another hat is taken off to Mr. West, for he keeps stepping up his $$$ game. I can't help but admire the creative mind, of which I also possess.

Top Three Lines 4 Me
Yesterday, I decided that I was of course treat myself and that always entails with the purchasing of cosmetics or some type of pampering. However, I ended up at Sephora, and to my surprise they were offering free
consultations for eyes and nails, so I opted to see what I could do to expand my knowledge
during my beginner artistry days.
As soon as I began my journey down the many rows of lovely options, I saw one of the associates with this slamming eye display and wanted to get some suggestions. So as I approached her and she led me to a section that up until this point had been a total passover. The area was Make Up Forever, I was told by the associate that this is the line that Cirque De Soleli uses for their performances. Upon its settings, I saw several faces with different designs and patterns that you could create with their products along with the numbers. So I chose to do one that would only boost the my DIVA persona. I selected shades 10 ( bright yellow), 18( mid range orange) and 75 (brightly hued fuchsia) from the Star Powder line to create this rainbow type effect, as well as taking a glimpse at their Flash Color Pot display. I can't remember the associate's name that supplied me with samples and suggestions, but I will say that she did assist in converting me to another perfecting line of products for my addiction to makeup. She also stated that she prefers to use Stila's smudge pot in Black to create a defining eyeliner, therefore I purchased it as it made my overall look increase. I left out of the store with some new products and tools to use on past and future clients. I believe for this season that my top three cosmetics lines are MAC, MUFE, and Stila.

I succumb to M-A-C
Ok, so within the last two weeks I've given in to M-A-C products. At first, I was truly unhappy with the results of purchasing Oh Oh Baby and the way it defined my lips. So I decided to give them a second chance with foundation, as nothing else was working. My artist, Lacey was very essential in my decision process and even gave me some new pointers that I will be sharing in later blogs. I purchased three products and I'm totally a donning myself a M-A-C seeker. I will be purchasing several items for the next couple of months, to just get my face into the game. I believe I'll host a special gathering for my friends to come and shop through my collections, so that I can go and refill with all MAC.
So far I have...succumb!!!
